Her part as Willie Scott (an American nightclub performer and singer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), that was directed by her future husband Steven Spielberg, is her most famous role. The film features her in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895) and The Love Letter (1999), she has continued to be a star. Capshaw's portraiture work is displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was a daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty and travel consultant as well as Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee). [4] At the age of five, she relocated to St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree as an educator. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
