Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer, and vocalist. A beautiful, smart and skilled actor, she's an inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, she achieved fame when she joined the team of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. Her performance was outstanding in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. At the same time, she was also in leading roles in several box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters from animated films such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that didn't have any impact. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that featured Liu in recurring parts, helped to establish her as an actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order so that she doesn't get stereotyped in an industry that is highly competitive. Liu is also an accomplished artist that isn't constrained due to her ethnic background.
